The 3rd Annual Kansas City Burlesque Festival!
In 2011 Kansas City joined a fraternity of cities worldwide when the First Annual Kansas City Burlesque Festival was presented, with international performers including one of the most popular names in Burlesque culture; Michelle L’amour. In addition, one of the world’s premier international Boylesque troupes, The Stage Door Johnnies, were met with standing ovations and sold out shows at the Off Center Theater. In 2012 the Kansas City Burlesque Festival returned to bring Kansas City audiences 60 performers from around the world! Star performers from Kansas City, Las Vegas, New Orleans, Chicago, and St. Louis, and from as far away as Finland, New Zealand and Australia! Well known on the international stage: Perle Noire,
LouLou D’vil, Lola Van Ella, and the 2011 reigning Queen of Kansas City Burlesque Ilsa the Wolf, to name just a few!
In 2013, producers and industry professionals from around the world will bring their insight and expertise to bear as they Judge the 2013 Performer Competition, crowning the 2013 Kansas City Queen and King of Burlesque!
Burlesque is a little bit risque, definitely exciting and always classy and entertaining; the absolute best local and international Burlesque performers you could ever hope to find, all brought to you here in Kansas City for three beautiful days in the springtime month of April!
